As the holiday season approaches, we are once again preparing for Glocester's Annual Candlelight Shopping Festivities! This delightful celebration of the holidays will be held on the first three Thursday evenings in December 2023.

The Candlelight Shopping Committee plans to schedule a variety of events and performances designed to enhance shopping and dining, and bring people into our town to enjoy our "Yankee hospitality." All businesses will be encouraged to decorate for the season, the streets will be lighted with our vintage street lights, and the sounds of holiday music will add to the old-fashioned ambiance that folks have enjoyed through past decades!

We plan to treat local and out-of-town shoppers to a thoroughly enjoyable old-fashioned holiday shopping, dining, and entertainment excursion. Help us do it!

Own a Shop on Main Street?

• Stay open for business on all Candlelight Shopping evenings.

• Play festive holiday music at your shop.

• Serve free refreshments: cocoa, hot mulled cider, or cookies.

• Offer special discounts or free samples to evening shoppers.

• Provide space, indoors or outdoors, to hold special events.

Outlying Business?

• Help sponsor a bit of musical entertainment.

• Donate goods or services for the event.

• Send a check to help defray the cost of activities and police details.
